Men of Christ Church usually meet on the Second Monday of each month (except July) for dinner at 6 p.m. and a presentation by a guest speaker. Our speaker has the floor after dinner, and then we have a devotional and a short business meeting. We take July off, resuming in August with a sweet corn boil. A Meeting is planned for September 11, a toy project assembly in October, a Thanksgiving dinner and annual elections in November, and a Christmas banquet in December. All men of the church are invited to participate. First-timers may eat at the pleasure of the group; after that, a donation of $10 per meeting is requested. Funds then are dedicated to various causes at the discretion of the group. It is our custom to meet a little before 6 in Wolff Hall to check in with the treasurer and with each other. Then we share a meal often prepared by one or more of the group and served by volunteers.
The leadership “Cabinet” this year includes Bob Davis (president), Bob Frost (vice president), Herb Meininger (secretary), and Ralph Gee (treasurer). We are open to ideas for projects, programs and provision of home-cooked meals. Messages may be left at the church office for any of the leadership, including Bob Davis and our pastor, Rev. Dr. Karl Herman
