Join us for a festive evening of fun on Waynesboro’s official Trick or Treat night! Christ United Methodist Church will host Trunk or Treat in our parking lot from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
Participants are invited to decorate their car trunks and hand out treats as children circle the lot. Each child will also receive a special church flier that Tammy has created for Christ UMC.
If you're participating with a decorated trunk, please arrive between 5:15 and 5:45 PM so we can help you get parked and set up. Don’t forget to bring your treats!

On the afternoon of October 26, 2025, Christ United Methodist Church and Faith United Methodist Church voted to merge, forming a new congregation: 
Faith in Christ United Methodist Church.
This new church family will officially come into being on January 1, 2026!
We’re grateful to both congregations for approving the merger and embracing this new season of shared ministry, mission, and fellowship. Thank you to everyone who participated in this important decision.

Christ United Methodist Church is currently engaged in meaningful dialogue with Faith United Methodist Church about a proposed merger — an initiative brought forward by Faith UMC with the hope of becoming one unified congregation. This opportunity holds the potential for renewed vitality, shared resources, and a greater collective impact in ministry and mission.
The Proposed Merger Agreement outlines how our two churches would come together as one body, combining our gifts in worship, outreach, leadership, and community engagement. This is a significant decision that invites prayerful reflection, thoughtful discernment, and active involvement from our church family.
To ensure all Full Members are informed and prepared, we encourage you to attend the Merger Agreement Presentation on October 12, held two weeks prior to the Church Conference and official Merger vote on October 26.

This is a defining moment in the life of our church. We encourage members to be present, ask questions, and engage in prayerful reflection as we discern this path forward together. Your voice and your vote matter as we seek God’s guidance and unity in exploring this opportunity to grow in faith and fellowship.
